While energy crisis raises the charge of electricity bill overseas, domestic new energy companies can not find a better time for development in the energy storage industry. Energy crisis triggers huge potential of ESS market, FEB developed from 0 to 1. As natural resources, e.g. coal, oil, natural gas, etc. are not renewable, the more we consume the less it will remain. Given the status quo that tension in geopolitical relationship causes energy-rich countries to raise the price and shrink production, unstable export of energy resources leads to energy crisis in Europe and America, new energy development is witnessing lower efficiency and poor stability in its preliminary stage (for example: PV energy generation subjects to sun rise and set, wind power is closely linked with natural climate), battery products, designed for homes, travelling and utility-scale container solutions to effectively store generated electricity to make up for the shortages in new energy power generation and consumption, holds the key to build novel electrical system. Same with the landscape in Europe and America, commercialization process of BESS products in China spikes sharply, for the accumulated installed capacity of energy storage projects put into operation has reached 46.1GWh accounting for 22% in global market; it is expected that by 2025, the scale of new ESS projects mainly in the form of electro-chemical and mechanical energy storage will exceed 30 GWh. FEB is among the first comers in LIB suppliers who always get themselves ready once sniffing the opportunity for leap-forward development. As a new player entering LIB industry 7 years ago, Far East Battery won the first RESS order worth RMB 43.362 Yuan from European customers in Sept. 2021, and continued to witness the increasing popularity of its products in overseas market in 2022 as FEB batteries had already been ordered in advance for designated RESS projects respectively in February, May, September and December the same year. By the end of 2022, FEB orders signed with domestic and overseas customers registered RMB 1.216 billion Yuan, with RESS batteries dedicated for homes becoming a new growth point. At the very beginning of entering ESS market, FEB attached great importance to upstream and downstream industrial chain for the sake of cost reduction, and worked out the overall strategic plan of providing customers with product matrix covering cell, module, pack to container for homes, C&I companies and utility grid in an endeavor to strike a balance between power generation and consumption.

 

FEB 305Ah prismatic cell-designated for utility containers: global ESS demands vary from countries to countries as RESS projects prevailing Europe and utility container gaining more momentum in America and China. Large global market demand deserves the attention of the whole world. Based on technical accumulation and R&D strength, LFP 305Ah cell independently developed by Far East Battery is regarded as an icon for it to enter the large-scale energy storage market, and has the advantages of long service life, better performance at low temperature, high cost performance, safe use at extreme conditions, high thermal stability of LFP cathode material, explosion-proof design, 305Ah nominal capacity, weight energy density ≥180Wh/kg, volume energy density ≥383Wh/L, 10,000 cycle times at normal temperature, 5,000 cycle times at high temperature, -10℃ charge, reduction of energy loss caused by heating or environment temperature.Battery packs are critical to battery energy storage system, and its production cost accounts for approximately 60% of the BESS solution, making solution provider pay more attention to energy efficiency, grouping and management of cells. FEB first generation 40&20 ft utility containers are ready to put into production, the second generation product is developed with DC side liquid cooling plus cluster-grade innovative technology to achieve high stability and reliability attributable to safety design as well as intelligent, automatic and informationized manufacturing system; further more, Far East Battery strategically plans for the third-generation fully-integrated utility container products with the core competitive edge of higher cooling efficiency and integration and better adaptability.

 

LMFP cell boost energy storage market: At Spain GENERA Exhibition 2023, RESS products displayed in Far East Battery booth are composed of independently developed 50Ah LFP cells characterized with high safety, 6,000+ cycle times and 10 year+ service life; while, except for LFP cell, is there any other cell featured higher energy density? Yes, that is LMFP cell, suitable for multiple application scenarios for its features of better performance at low temperature, higher safety performance. LMFP and LFP both fall in Phosphate category and different from each other for addition of manganese and decrease of iron. As for the performance, LMFP has the advantages of long cycle life, high thermal stability, outstanding safety performance, etc. What is more, its single cell voltage is 4.3V higher than that of LFP cell (3.4-3.5V), and energy density is increased by 15-20%. As for cost performance, the earth is abundant with manganese, and China is the largest electrolytic manganese production base in the world. To increase manganese content in cathode materials contributes a lot to reduction of production cost. In July 2022, Far East Battery,with the support of R&D team with technicians of master/doctor degree and rich experiences at its core, launched research and development of LMFP cells, becoming the first in LIB industry to applied it to energy storage. Up till now, Far East Battery holds the proprietary to over 100 intellectual property rights with the support of its R&D team, National Post-doctor Scientific Research Station and Academician Work Station.
