As renewable energy capacity continues to expand and the development of new power systems accelerates, user-side energy storage has become a critical enabler for enterprises seeking to optimize their energy mix and enhance energy management efficiency. In Jiangsu Province, the steady advancement of commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage applications has created a favorable environment for businesses to build more flexible, secure, and efficient energy systems.

Against this backdrop, Far East Battery supported the deployment of a 5MW/10.032MWh energy storage project for Jiangsu Xitang Industrial Co., Ltd., delivering system integration expertise and digital energy management capabilities to drive the company’s energy upgrade.
Far East Battery provided a comprehensive energy storage solution, including two 5MWh DC battery containers, two string-type PCS step-up integrated units, and one intelligent Energy Management System (EMS). The deep coordination among battery systems, power conversion systems, and control systems ensures a highly integrated and efficient architecture, laying a solid foundation for safe, stable, and reliable plant operation.

The project adopts a string-type PCS architecture, enabling multi-unit parallel operation, independent control, and granular power regulation. This configuration allows for more precise energy management and improved system efficiency. In the event of a single cluster fault, other units can continue operating independently, significantly enhancing overall system availability, operational continuity, and maintenance flexibility.
At the core of the system are Far East Battery’s liquid-cooled battery containers, the PowerSTROM 5000, each with a standard capacity of 5.016MWh. The solution delivers strong performance in energy density, operational efficiency, and system stability. Featuring a 20-foot single-side access design, multi-level fire protection architecture, and coordinated safety mechanisms, the system ensures high standards of operational security. The intelligent thermal management system precisely controls temperature and temperature differentials, improving efficiency, extending cycle life, and reducing total lifecycle operating costs, thereby providing reliable support for green energy utilization.

On the operational side, the project leverages an intelligent EMS platform to establish a fully digitalized management framework integrating monitoring, analysis, and dispatch control. The system supports independent point-of-connection metering and automated meter data reporting to ensure transparency and traceability. With built-in fault recording functionality capable of capturing second-level operational data for 10 minutes before and after incidents, the platform enables detailed analysis and continuous optimization, enhancing professional and refined O&M management.
In terms of dispatch control and revenue optimization, the system features over-capacity protection, anti-backflow control, and dynamic power regulation. Through real-time demand iteration and peak demand curve optimization, the project effectively reduces demand charges. Additionally, demand response and grid interaction capabilities enhance market participation potential, improving operational flexibility and expanding overall revenue opportunities.
Looking ahead, Far East Energy Storage will continue strengthening its product portfolio and digital platform capabilities, deepening innovation in C&I storage applications. By leveraging system integration expertise and intelligent operational management, the company remains committed to delivering safe, stable, and sustainable energy storage solutions that accelerate the realization of green energy value in the evolving power system landscape.
