Advancing High Energy Density Technology
During the visit, Jay Jiang and his delegation toured the partner’s manufacturing and R&D facilities, gaining a detailed understanding of its capabilities in product manufacturing, technology development, and market applications. The two sides also held in-depth discussions on the performance, application requirements, and future cooperation directions of cylindrical lithium cells.
During the exchange, Jay Jiang introduced Far East Battery’s latest progress in cylindrical cell R&D and manufacturing. The company has long been dedicated to the development and production of high-capacity cylindrical lithium cells.
In 2022, Far East Battery launched the 21700-62E and 18650-42E cylindrical cells, achieving industry-leading energy density for mass-produced small cylindrical batteries.
In 2025, the company introduced the 21700-68E cylindrical cell, the world’s highest-capacity cell in its class, which completed batch delivery in March 2026.
Focusing on the advancement of high energy density technologies, the company continues to upgrade and iterate its product portfolio. At present, the 18650 and 21700 series cells have achieved key technical indicators of 320 Wh/kg and 900 Wh/L, further enhancing energy output while improving material utilization efficiency and supporting greener manufacturing practices.
Expanding Diverse Application Scenarios
With stable safety performance and high product consistency, Far East Battery’s cylindrical cells have obtained multiple international safety certifications and are widely used in light mobility, drones, robotics, and smart home applications.
Jay Jiang noted during the exchange that Europe remains one of the most important markets in the global new energy industry, with growing demand for high-performance battery products in sectors such as energy storage, power tools, and light electric mobility. Far East Battery will continue to adopt a customer-oriented approach, enhancing service capabilities through technological innovation and product optimization while working with partners to expand application scenarios and accelerate the development of the new energy industry.
