From March 12th to 13th, 2024, the "2024 China Electric Vehicle Power Battery Industry Summit and the 2024 8th China Electric Vehicle Battery Module and PACK Innovation Technology and Process Development Forum & 2024 3rd China Electric Vehicle Power Battery (Large Cell) Developer Forum" was held in Shanghai. A total of more than 50 industry experts gave wonderful speeches, attracting more than 500 industry scholars and other attendees.
This forum focuses on the development of China's electric vehicle power battery industry, and discusses the industry's innovative technologies and development trends through expert speeches and exchanges, providing an important reference for future development. As one of the invited speakers of this forum, Dr. Wang Zuocheng, assistant director of the battery cell product service department of Jiangxi Far East Lithium Research Institute, will deliver a keynote speech on "Application and Challenges of Silicon-based Anode in Large Cylindrical Cells", sharing his research results and insights in the field of silicon-based anode application.
Ph.D. from the University of Arts and Sciences in Paris, postdoctoral fellow at the France Academy of Sciences. He has published 7 SCI papers, covering internationally renowned journals such as Electrochimica Acta, Journal of the Electrochemical Society, and Applied Surface Science. At present, he is mainly committed to the application research of new materials for lithium-ion batteries, especially in the fields of electrochemical systems of high-energy lithium-ion batteries, high-specific energy silicon-based anodes, lithium supplementation technology, and new binders.
At the event, Dr. Wang focused on the development process of cylindrical batteries and the advantages of large cylindrical batteries, focusing on the application prospects and main challenges of Far Eastern Batteries in the application of silicon-based anodes, especially in the field of large cylindrical batteries. He said that with the rapid development of the power field, large cylindrical cells, as an important type of power battery, have a large application space. As a new material, silicon-based anode has great potential to improve the energy density of batteries. However, there are also many challenges, such as expansion, conductivity and cyclic stability. In response to these problems, Dr. Wang put forward a series of solutions and suggestions from the perspectives of technology, process and commercialization, which provide reference for research and practice in this field.
