Far East Battery Successfully Delivers Henan’s First Benchmark Energy Storage Project in the Textile Industry

Categories:Date:2025-09-29

Recently, Far East Battery’s 5MW/10MWh energy storage project in Henan has been successfully commissioned, marking the region’s first industrial and commercial (C&I) energy storage demonstration project in the textile sector. As a key part of the “Ten Provinces, Hundred Companies, Thousand Parks” initiative, Far East Battery continues to accelerate its project deployment across strategic industries and regions. Building on its extensive experience and multiple successful implementations in the textile sector in Hebei, Far East Battery has now expanded into central China, driving the first C&I energy storage demonstration project in Henan and injecting new momentum into the region’s green and low-carbon industrial transformation.

Located in an industrial park in Luoyang, the project is equipped with two 5MWh energy storage containers and a 5MW booster inverter, connected at a 10kV level to the park’s distribution room. The project integrates Far East Battery’s self-developed Energy Management System (EMS), enabling peak-valley arbitrage, demand management, and anti-backflow functions. The EMS also supports remote monitoring and rapid fault response, ensuring both operational safety and economic efficiency while providing long-term, reliable energy support for the enterprise.

The system uses Far East Battery’s liquid-cooled PowerSTROM 5000 energy storage containers, each with a standard capacity of 5.016MWh. These units combine high energy density, high efficiency, operational stability, and flexible configuration. Each container features a 20-foot single-side door design and supports multi-level fire protection and interlocking safety systems. Its intelligent thermal management system effectively controls temperature and temperature differences, improving system efficiency by approximately 1% and extending cycle life by 10%, reducing long-term operating costs while ensuring safe and stable operation in the transition to green energy.

With the project now online, the energy storage system optimizes the park’s power consumption structure. By leveraging peak-valley pricing mechanisms, the system is expected to save the enterprise over CNY 1.6 million in electricity costs per year, with an estimated payback period of 5–7 years. Additionally, throughout its lifecycle, the system can generate continuous revenue through participation in electricity market trading and demand response programs, delivering both economic and environmental benefits to the textile enterprise.

Looking ahead, Far East Battery will continue to deepen its presence in Henan and accelerate the construction of energy storage clusters. By lowering energy costs and enhancing system adaptability across diverse scenarios, Far East Battery helps traditional industries gradually reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The company remains committed to promoting the integration of green energy with manufacturing, supporting the textile sector’s energy upgrade, and contributing to sustainable industrial and social development.
