Far East Battery Supports Grid Connection of Shandong PV + Energy Storage Demonstration Project

On December 23, a 76MW / 152MWh Rural Revitalization Photovoltaic + Energy Storage Demonstration Project in Liaocheng, Shandong Province, was successfully connected to the grid.
Far East Battery provided a comprehensive energy storage system solution and professional operation & maintenance support, enabling the project to enhance renewable energy utilization and improve overall economic performance through reduced curtailment, participation in market-oriented electricity trading, and optimized capacity charge structures.

Integrated Energy Storage Solution Enhancing Grid-Friendly Operation

Far East Battery delivered a fully integrated energy storage system, including DC-side battery containers, PCS & step-up integrated units, an intelligent Energy Management System (EMS), and a complete set of Far East cable solutions.
Through system-level integration, the project adopts a peak shaving and valley filling operation strategy after grid connection, storing surplus photovoltaic power generated during midday and releasing it in an orderly manner during evening peak demand periods. This configuration effectively improves power station stability, enhances dispatchability, and meets grid operation and scheduling requirements.

Liquid-Cooled Containerized ESS for Safe and Efficient Operation

The project is equipped with Far East Battery’s PowerSTROM 5000 liquid-cooled energy storage container, featuring a standard capacity of 5.016MWh per unit. The system offers high energy density, high efficiency, strong operational stability, and flexible configuration options.

Each container adopts a 20-foot single-side access design and supports a multi-level fire protection architecture with integrated safety linkage systems. Combined with an intelligent thermal management system, PowerSTROM 5000 enables precise temperature and temperature-difference control, improving system efficiency, extending cycle life, and reducing long-term operating costs while ensuring a high level of safety.

As photovoltaic installations continue to expand, the inherent variability and intermittency of PV output pose increasing challenges to grid operation and renewable energy consumption.
