Recently, the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released its list of recognized smart factories, with Jiangxi Far East Lithium Co., Ltd. named an “Advanced Smart Factory.” The recognition reflects the company’s continued efforts and achievements in intelligent manufacturing.

As part of its green manufacturing initiatives, Jiangxi Far East Lithium continues to advance automation and refined production management. The company has established one of the world’s leading cylindrical high-capacity cell production lines, equipped with fully imported high-speed automated equipment. Each line achieves a production efficiency of up to 200 PPM, with two lines operating in parallel and a planned capacity of 3 GWh. The production environment is maintained under a Class 10,000 cleanliness standard, providing a controlled foundation for high-quality cell manufacturing.

More than 300 online monitoring points are deployed throughout the production process, supported by inspection systems including Hi-pot, CCD, X-ray, β-ray, and JRC, enabling comprehensive in-line inspection. The MES system works in conjunction with the foreign-material traceability system to support end-to-end traceability of product quality and production data. Meanwhile, continuous improvements in automation and production energy efficiency are driving the manufacturing system toward greater efficiency, precision, and lower energy consumption.

These manufacturing capabilities ultimately translate into product performance and delivery. Recently, Far East Battery completed another batch delivery of its 21700-68E cylindrical lithium-ion high-capacity cell, achieving stable, scaled supply following previous batch deliveries. In the high-capacity segment, the 18650-48E cell has achieved a single-cell energy density of over 320 Wh/kg. For high-power applications, Far East Battery has launched the new-generation 21700-55S cylindrical lithium-ion cell, combining high capacity with high-rate performance.
